Bale headed for Harsh Times
Christian Bale has signed to star in Harsh Times for writer/director David Ayer. The film will mark Ayer's directorial debut. The semiautobiographical film is an urban comedy about a Marine who returns from Iraq to start a marriage and normal civilian life, but somehow becomes re-entangled with an old friend from South Central whose layabout ways have begun to affect him. Freddy Rodriguez (Six Feet Under) and Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives) will also star.
