Buena Vista likes Kinky Boots
Buena Vista Intl., which previously found success with the bawdy comedy Calendar Girls, will tap similar ground with Kinky Boot Factory, a film set to star Chiwetel Ejiofor (Dirty Pretty Things) and Joel Edgerton. Edgerton will play Charlie Price, a young man who reluctantly inherits his father's almost bankrupt shoe factory. He has a chance encounter with a transvestite cabaret star (Ejiofor), who gives Charlie the idea to save the factory by manufacturing exotic
women's boots.
