Lions Gate has a Wannabe

Meiert Avis will direct Wannabe for Lions Gate Films, a romantic comedy about an aspiring model and a struggling musician. Pell James (Uptown Girls) will play the model opposite Steven Straight (Sky High). Other cast members include Ashlee Simpson, Shannyn Sossamon, Fisher Stevens, Carrie Fisher and Kip Pardue.
