Toy Story aiming for 2008
At a Licensing Intl trade show in New York City yesterday, Disney's Consumer Products chairman Andy Mooney noted that Toy Story 3 is being prepared for release in summer of 2008. The third movie in the series would be created without the aid and assistance of Pixar, who handled the first two films for the Mouse House. However, talks are ongoing between Pixar and Disney, so it is possible that Pixar may come back into the fold in time to assist on this particular project.

Disney moving ahead with Toy Story 3
The Walt Disney Company is moving ahead with plans to make Toy Story 3 without Pixar, working from a screenplay created by Jared Stern. They'll hire additional writers to polish the script. The details are being kept under wraps, but apparently Woody, Buzz and Co. will all head on the road out of Andy's room.

Disney moving ahead with Toy Story 3
Walt Disney Studios is moving forward with the long-talked about Toy Story 3, a sequel to the two well-loved movies from Pixar. In an effort to bring Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Co. back to the big screen, the studio is in the process of setting up a digitial animation facility in Glendale, CA. The fact that Disney is actively pursuing the creation of this sequel will likely prove contentious in their efforts to negotiate with Pixar, who has said recently that they won't be making any quick decisions on which distributing studio they may align with. The current Pixar/Disney deal expires with the release of 2005's Cars.
