Tamblyn bears a Grudge

Amber Tamblyn has signed to star in The Grudge 2 for Columbia Pictures. Takashi Shimizu will direct the film from a screenplay by Stephen Susco. Both men are returning from the first film. Additionally, Sarah Michelle Gellar will be back in a brief appearance, playing the older sister of Tamblyn's character.

Gellar still bears Grudge

Sarah Michelle Gellar will return for the sequel to The Grudge. Her role in the film will be limited, though, which makes some sense for anyone who has seen the first movie. Takashi Shimizu will also be back as director for the film.

Shimizu holds another Grudge

Takashi Shimizu will direct the sequel to The Grudge for Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert’s Ghost House Pictures. Other film’s on Ghost House’s slate include Dibbuk Box, Scarecrow, The Evil Dead and 30 Days of Night.

Susco has another Grudge

Stephen Susco, who wrote the screenplay for The Grudge, has been hired by Sam Raimi's Ghost House Pictures to handle the script for the sequel. At this point, there is no word whether Sarah Michelle Gellar and director Takashi Shimizu will return.
