Male cast set for Prada
Simon Baker and Adrian Grenier have both signed for roles in Fox 2000's The Devil Wears Prada. They'll star alongside Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt in the adaptation of the adaptation of the best-selling Lauren Weisberger book. The story is adapted by Aline Brosh McKenna and tells the story of a small-town girl (Hathaway) who gets a job at a major fashion magazine. Her boss (Streep), it seems, is a monster. Baker will play a writer at the magazine who tries to assist the young woman as she adjusts to life in the big city. Grenier, who has become a breakout star thanks to his work on the HBO comedy Entourage, will play Hathaway's love interest.

Blunt Wears Prada
Emily Blunt will join the cast of Fox 2000's The Devil Wears Prada, where she'll star alongside Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep. The adaptation of Lauren Weisberger's novel is set at a trendy Manhattan fashion magazine. Blunt will play a character named Emily, the senior assistant for the magazine and a loyal follower of the power-driven editor Miranda (Streep). Hathaway will be playing Andrea, a graduate of Brown University and hopeful writing who gets a job as Miranda's assistant. The whole thing turns out to be a nightmare. David Frankel is set to direct from a screenplay by Aline Brosh McKenna.

Devil Wears Prada for Fox
Fox 2000 has hired David Frankel to both write and direct the adaptation of the Lauren Weisberger fashionista novel The Devil Wears Prada. The studio is hoping the project will be lensing by spring.
