JGar Headed for the Kingdom
Actress Jennifer Garner will join Chris Cooper and Jamie Foxx in The Kingdom. Garner, who recently gave birth, can currently be seen in the final episodes of TV series Alias and previously starred in comic book adaptaion Elektra.

Cooper Joins the Kingdom
Chris Cooper will join the cast of The Kingdom, which also includes star Jamie Foxx. The actors, who have both won Academy Awards, will play FBI agents that go to a Middle Eastern country to investigate a terrorist incident.

Foxx has a Kingdom
Jamie Foxx is set to star in The Kingdom for director Peter Berg. Universal is distributing the film, and Michael Mann is producing. It will mark the third project where Foxx has been connected with Mann, with the first two being Collateral and Miami Vice. Based on a screenplay by Matthew Michael Carnahan, the story will have Foxx playing the leader of a team of counterterrorism experts who must find the people behind a deadly attack on Americans in a Middle Eastern country. They enlist a local police officer in an effort to break through cultural and personal barriers, but still find themselves to be targets.

Berg gets keys to the Kingdom
Peter Berg, fresh off the success of directing Friday Night Lights, will helm the Michael Mann-produced The Kingdom. Matthew Michael Carnahan will write the screenplay. The movie follows a team of U.S. officials who are working with a Middle Eastern government to investigate a recent bombing. Universal Pictures accepted the project based on a pitch from an idea from Berg and Mann.
