Director set for 30 Days of Night
David Slade is set to direct 30 Days of Night for Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi's Ghost House Pictures and Columbia. Based on a screenplay from Stuart Beattie, the movie is centered in Alaska during the time of year when the sun is never seen. A malevolent force emerges from the darkness to strike terror into the heart of the small town where the story takes place.

Call Raimi and Tapert re: Horror
Ghost House Pictures, the joint venture of Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert, is putting the project 30 Days of Night in the works. Stuart Beattie (Collateral) will write the screenplay. The film is set in Barrow, Alaska, the northernmost town in the United States, where the sun does not rise for more than 30 days and nights. In the movie, a malevolent force will emerge from the darkness to strike horror upon the town. All hopes for salvation lie with a husband/wife cop team.
