Wood knows All You Need Is Love
Evan Rachel Wood is set to star in the musical formerly titled All You Need Is Love for director Julie Taymor and Revolution Studios. The love story is set during the turbulent decade of the '60s and has a backdrop of music by the Beatles. Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais wrote the screenplay.

Taymor aboard All You Need Is Love
Julie Taymor (Frida, Titus) has signed on to direct the musical romance All You Need Is Love, which will feature 18 songs by the Beatles. The two-time Tony Award winner is expected to start production on the film in September for a release in Thanksgiving of 2006. Written by Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais (The Commitments), the love story about a British boy and an American girl is not about the Beatles specifically, but their songs will be used to move the narrative forward. The romance will be set during the social upheaval of the 1960s, and the actors will both sing and dance to the Beatles tunes. Revolution Studios is producing.

Revolution Studios needs Love
Revolution Studios, which Joe Roth named after the Beatles' song, has acquired rights to the musical screenplay pitch All You Need Is Love, by British screenwriters Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais. The movie will intersperse classic Beatles tunes into a love story about a British boy and an American girl whose relationship develops during the social upheaval of the 1960s.
