Stewart goes to the Land of Women
Kristen Stewart (Panic Room) has signed on to join Meg Ryan and Adam Brody for the Warner Independent Pictures film In the Land of Women. Director Jonathan Kasdan is making his directorial debut on the film, which is a bittersweet comedy about an LA screenwriter who takes off for the Michigan suburbs to recover from a bad breakup. Once there, he begins a relationship with both a mother and a daughter who live across the street.

Ryan and Brody go to the Land of Women
Jonathan Kasdan will make his directorial debut with the bittersweet comedy In the Land of Women, which has just signed Meg Ryan and Adam Brody (The OC) for lead roles. Warner Independent Pictures will distribute the film, and Castle Rock will handle production. Jonathan Kasdan is the third member of his family to handle a production for Castle Rock - father Lawrence helmed Dreamcatcher there and brother Jake directed Zero Effect.
Along with directing, Jonathan Kasdan also wrote the screenplay for In the Land of Women, which centers around a comedy writer from L.A. who sets off for the suburbs of Michigan in the aftermath of a turbulent breakup. His plan is to care for his sick grandmother, but he also winds up becoming involved with a house full of women who live across the street.
