Cast fit for a King

Hopkins will play Judge Burden, a man whose past is in question. Jack Burden (Jude Law), sets out to unearth the unsavory details. Gandolfini is looking at the role of Tiny Duffy, a member of Stark's entourage.

Streep set for All the King's Men
Meryl Streep has joined Jude Law and Sean Penn for the theatrical adaptation of the classic Robert Penn Warren novel All the King's Men. She will play Sadie, a political aide to Willy Stark (Penn), the Huey Long-esque politician whose rise to power and fall from grace is the story's centerpiece. Steve Zaillian is directing from his own screenplay, which will draw more heavily on the novel itself than the 1949 Best Picture Academy Award winner by the same name. That film starred Broderick Crawford and John Ireland, with Mercedes McCambridge winning a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her portrayal of Sadie.
