Arquette, Davis in Shark Boy and Lava Girl
David Arquette and Kristen Davis have signed on for roles in Robert Rodriguez's The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl. They will join cast members Taylor Dooley, Taylor Lautner, Cayden Boyd and George Lopez. The film tells the story of a ten-year-old boy who is considered an outcast by his classmates. Forced to spend the summer alone, he goes on an adventurous mission with his imaginary friends -
the title characters - to show that dreams really can come true.

Lopez in Shark Boy and Lava Girl
George Lopez, who stars in a television sitcom that bears his name, is set to play a leading role in Robert Rodriguez's The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl. Also signed for primary roles are newcomers Taylor Dooley and Taylor Lautner, who join youngster Cayden Boyd. The 3-D film will be directed by Rodriguez from his own screenplay, and shooting has already begun. The story centers on a 10-year-old boy who has no friends amongst his classmates and has to spend his summer alone as a result. His two imaginary friends - the title characters - come to life, and the spend the vacation together on a series of adventures.

Cayden Boyd to play Shark Boy
Cayden Boyd (Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story) has signed on to star in Robert Rodriguez's upcoming kid flick Shark Boy and Lava Girl, which will begin filming later this month. Boyd will play a boy whose imaginary superhero friends come to life and join him on numerous adventures. The film is currently scheduled for a Summer 2005 release.
