Harris and Hurt have History of Violence
Ed Harris and William Hurt are in talks to join the New Line project A History of Violence, to be directed by David Cronenberg. Already onboard is Viggo Mortensen in the lead role. The story was adapted by Josh Olson from the John Wagner/Vince Locke graphic novel Violence. It centers around what happens in the life of an ordinary family after the father (Mortensen) receives unwanted national attention after he kills someone in a seemingly vigilante fashion at his diner. Harris is set to play the bad guy who comes looking for Mortensen, while Hurt will portray the Lord of the Rings hunk's long-lost brother.
