Magnolia is World's Fastest
Magnolia Pictures has acquired distribution rights to The World's Fastest Indian, which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival earlier this week. Anthony Hopkins, Diane Ladd, Paul Rodriguez, and Aaron Murphy star in this true telling of the story of Burt Munro, a motorcycle enthusiast from New Zealand who attempted to set a world speed record with his Indian bike Utah's Bonneville Salt Flats circa 1967.

Hopkins is World's Fastest Indian
Anthony Hopkins has been confirmed as the star of director Roger Donaldson's The World's Fastest Indian. The project began shooting last week and centers around motorcycle legend Burt Munro (Hopkins), who perfected and modified his 1920 Indian Scout motorcycle before venturing to the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah to race. He ended up setting a new land speed record.
The movie has a $25 million budget. Cast members in addition to Hopkins include Diane Ladd, Paul Rodriguez, Bruce Greenwood and Chris Lawford.
