Brenneman joins 88 Minutes
Amy Brenneman has joined the cast of Jon Avnet's 88 Minutes. She'll star alongside Al Pacino, Leelee Sobieski, Neal McDonough and Benjamin McKenzie in a film about a college professor (Pacino) who also moonlights as a forensic psychiatrist for the FBI. When he receives a message that he has only 88 minutes to live, he must solve the mystery in order to stay alive. Brenneman will play Pacino's assistant.

McKenzie has 88 Minutes
Benjamin McKenzie, who plays the hunky Ryan on The O.C., has joined the cast of 88 Minutes. Jon Avnet is directing the Al Pacino starrer, which has him playing a college professor who moonlights as a forensic psychiatrist for the FBI. He receives a death threat that informs him he has only 88 minutes to live. McKenzie will play one of his grad students and a potential suspect.

Cast ready for 88 Minutes
A number of cast members have signed on to star alongside Al Pacino in director Jon Avnet's 88 Minutes. Alicia Witt, Leelee Sobieski and Neal McDonough will all have key roles in the Gary Scott Thompson-penned film. The story has Pacino starring as a college professor who moonlights as a forensic psychologist for the FBI. He suspects that a death row inmate is attempting to arrange his murder. Witt will portray a teaching assistant and Pacino's romantic interest, Sobieski will play a student and McDonough will star as the death row inmate.

Avnet works for 88 Minutes
Jon Avnet (Fried Green Tomatoes) is set to direct 88 Minutes from a screenplay by Gary Thompson. Al Pacino will star as a college professor who also moonlights as a forensic psychiatrist for the FBI. When he is told that he will be killed in 88 minutes, the professor must use all his skills to try to save himself.
