Luke goes to Glory Road
Following up his portrayal of a football player in Friday Night Lights, Derek Luke will now join Disney for the basketball drama Glory Road. The film follows the true story of Texas Western basketball coach Don Haskins, whose all-black team won the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship in 1966 by beating an undefeated all-white Kentucky team. The Day After Tomorrow's Austin Nichols has also signed on for a role.

Affleck off Glory Road
Ben Affleck is no longer slated to star in Disney's upcoming Bruckheimer flick Glory Road. His replacement is Josh Lucas (Sweet Home Alabama), who will portray Texas Western basketball coach Don Haskins. Haskins changed NCAA history when his team - with a lineup of exclusively African American players - won the championship in 1966.
Affleck apparently chose to leave the project due to scheduling conflicts. The film should start shooting in August.
