Shelby Lynne takes first movie role
Shelby Lynne will make her theatrical feature debut in Walk the Line, a biopic based on the life of Johnny Cash. The Fox Searchlight film, which stars Joaquin Phoenix as the Man in Black and Reese Witherspoon as June Carter Cash, is already shooting in Memphis. Walk the Line is being directed by James Mangold from a screenplay he co-wrote with Gill Dennis. Lynne will play Cash's mother.
