The Rock goes to Southland
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has signed to star opposite Sarah Michelle Gellar and Seann William Scott in Southland Tales. The Rock had previously worked with Scott in The Rundown.
Richard Kelly (Donnie Darko) directs the film from his own screenplay. It is set in Los Angeles on July 4, 2008, and the city is just on the edge of economic, social and environmental disaster. The Rock will have a role in one of several interconnecting stories, as he'll play an amnesiac action star whose life comes into close contect with an adult film actress who is directing her own reality show. In turn, it also connects with a Hermosa Beach police officer who has the key to a widespread conspiracy.
