Three more join Exorcism
Campbell Scott, Shohreh Agdashloo and Jennifer Carpenter are all joining the cast of the Screen Gems project that was formerly known as The Exorcism of Anneliese Michel. The film is currently looking for a titles. Based on true events involving the Catholic Church officially recognizing the demonic possession of an 18-year-old German college freshman, the story will unfold Rashomon style, with different points of view recounting the events. Scott Derrickson will direct from a screenplay he co-wrote with Paul Harris Boardman.

Linney, Wilkinson sign on for Exorcism
Laura Linney and Tom Wilkinson have become the first cast members to sign for the Screen Gems project The Exorcism of Anneliese Michel. Directed by Scott Derrickson from a screenplay he co-wrote with Paul Boardman, the story is based on true events and tells the story of a priest (Wilkinson) who is charged with negligent homicide after presiding over the exorcism of a 19-year-old girl. Linney will play
the attorney who defends the priest, and as the trial goes forward, she finds her faith being reawakened.
