Alfie moves to November
Paramount has moved its remake of Alfie, starring Jude Law, from its original October 22nd opening date to November 5th. The studio has said that the move is intended as a counterprogramming strategy, placing the film in competition against the differently-targeted The Incredibles. They felt that there was too much competition on the earlier date and that the film would have a better chance of faring positively on a less crowded weekend.
