Affleck believes in Truth, Justice and the American Way
Ben Affleck is set to play George Reeves, the doomed star of the 50s TV series Superman, in Truth, Justice and the American Way. The script centers on the investigation into Reeves' mysterious death in 1959, not to mention the actor's relationship with the role that made him a star. Diane Lane will also co-star as Toni Mannix, the wife of a studio executive who may or may not have been romantically entangled with the actor. Adrien Brody will portray a detective who is investigating the death. Allen Coulter will direct from a screenplay by Paul Bernbaum (and a final draft by Howard Korder). Focus Features is handling the project.

Brody believes in Truth, Justice and the American Way
Adrien Brody has signed to star in the upcoming Focus Features film Truth, Justice and the American Way. The film will be directed by Allen Coulter from a screenplay by Paul Bernbaum, and explores the death of George Reeves, the man who played Superman on television. The movie will explore the investigation into the man's death in 1959, as well as the Reeves' relationship with the role that made him famous. Brody will play the lead detective on the case.
