What would you do if you won a huge settlement in a lawsuit? Take a trip? Pay your medical bills? How about start you own airline? You would if you were Dakwon (Kevin Hart).

Dakwon wins a $600 million judgment in a lawsuit against an airline because they accidentally killed his dog. He decides to take his newly acquired wealth and start his own airline and do things his own way. He calls his airline N.W.A. and designs it to appeal to an African-American customer base.

But you know the maiden flight is going to have some problems. Otherwise, this wouldn’t be much of a comedy, would it? The situation involves a white family named the Hunkees (Tom Arnold, Arielle Kebbel, Ryan Pinkston) that gets put on N.W.A. when they are bumped from their original flight. Incidentally, Snoop Dogg plays the pilot of N.W.A. This should be a treat.

MGM began production on this movie in June 2003. Recently, the studio has focused on movies with relatively low budgets, but with potential huge payoffs. If the past is any indication, it is paying off for them. Barbershop was one of their projects and it paid off big time. Big enough that they’re already planning a sequel to the film and a spin-off with Queen Latifah. (Marty Doskins/BOP)
