Cedric the Entertainer sure has been busy lately. This time, he adds his personal touch to the family vacation/disaster genre. Director Christopher Erskin, who makes the leap to the movies after making a name for himself with his music video and commercial work, joins him on this project. Also, a couple rookies to the silver screen wrote the film's screenplay. The brother team of Richey and Todd Jones has had their work previously featured on such TV shows as The Hughleys.

Nate Johnson (Cedric) and the rest of the Johnson clan are ready to make their annual family reunion jaunt. But when their car's on-board navigation goes on the fritz, the family is primed for disaster. Of course if Nate just stopped at a gas station and bought a map they could've made it to the reunion safe and sound. But then we wouldn't have a movie to talk about, would we?

His “loving” family joins Nate on the trip. They include the following: his estranged wife (Vanessa Williams), who is along only for the kids' sake; their rapper-wannabe son (Bow Wow); their teenage daughter (newcomer Solange Knowles), who is setting herself up as the next Lolita; and their younger daughter (Gabby Soleil), who just can't seem to keep track of her imaginary dog.
