Quite an impressive cast has been brought together for this film. Among the notables in this movie are Kathy Bates, Rupert Everett, Dan Aykroyd, and Jonathan Pryce. P.J. Hogan is taking care of the directing and writing duties. The film was originally titled Unconditional Love, but that has apparently been changed to Who Shot Victor Fox?
The story is about a woman (Bates) who has been left by her husband (Aykroyd). She decides to travel to London for the funeral of pop star Victor Fox (Pryce), whom she has adored her whole life. While in London, she meets Fox's lover (Everett) and convinces him to come back to Chicago with her to solve the singer's death.
The movie was filmed in late 1999/early 2000 in locations such as Chicago, London, Wales, and Herefordshire, England. Distributor New Line Cinema has delayed this movie's release a few times already. It was originally scheduled as a Valentine's Day release in 2001, but was pushed back to April 13, 2001 and fall 2001. It will be out in the United Kingdom August 23, 2002. For the United States, it's currently listed as a TBA 2002, but who knows if we'll actually see this out soon. (Marty Doskins/BOP)
