Actor Matt Dillon makes his feature-film writing and directorial debut in this movie set in exotic locales such as Thailand and Cambodia. He's also brought together quite a few big-name stars, including James Caan, Gérard Depardieu, and Stellan Skarsgård.
Dillon plays Jimmy, a man on the run hiding out in Southeast Asia after an insurance scam went bad in the United States. He has just found out that his partner in crime (Caan) has turned up in Cambodia and said partner is determined to get the cut of the money that Jimmy denied him. But now Jimmy realizes the light at the end of the tunnel is a train heading right for him. In the mysterious and hostile environment of that part of the world, even a hardened criminal isn't safe.
Dillon has previously directed an episode of the HBO series OZ, but this is his first outing for the big screen. It sounds like he's brought some good elements together for the movie. Let's see how it turns out when the movie is released. (Marty Doskins/BOP)
