Steven Soderbergh calls this film the "unofficial" sequel to sex, lies and videotape. This film looks to be about as unofficial as you can get. The original cast doesn't appear to be returning. The original characters aren't being used. The premise doesn't seem to be the same or a continuation. In fact, the only thing that seems to be the same is that this film is about sex. But Miramax has pulled together a top-notch group of stars to appear in this film. Among the celebrities confirmed so far are Julia Roberts, David Duchovny, Blair Underwood and David Hyde Pierce. Miramax is also rushing the production of this film, I believe, to take advantage of Soderbergh's recent success at the Academy Awards. Production is scheduled to begin November 2001, with a March 2002 release. (Marty Doskins/BOP) November 14, 2001 February 26, 2002 July 17, 2002
