Very limited information is available on this film currently, and Paramount has yet to even list it on their official Web site. Making the search for specifics more interesting yet is the fact that the official Martin Lawrence site hasn't been updated since the comedian signed for Black Knight (which was released in November of 2001).

According to Yahoo Movies' Greg Dean Schmidtz, the title of the film is Run Del Tat and it has received an R rating from the MPAA. Even with the dreaded NC-17 rating, You So Crazy, Lawrence's first concert film, had a fair performance at the box office for the genre, with $10.18 million tallied when final box-office numbers rolled in. Since that time, we've seen another strong performance for a comedy concert film, as The Original Kings of Comedy stunned forecasters by showing an opening-weekend performance of $11.05 million on its way to $38.13 million total box office. That film was directed by Spike Lee and featured stand-up performances from Steve Harvey, Cedric the Entertainer, D.L. Hughley and Bernie Mac.

Lawrence's once-bright star has seemed to fade recently. Starting with Bad Boys in 1995 and building up to Life, Blue Streak and Big Momma's House in 1999 and 2000, the comedian had proven to be an extremely bankable star. 2001 was not nearly so kind, with What's the Worst that Could Happen? proving to be a box-office disappointment and Black Knight following almost the same trajectory from opening to final box office a few months later.
