Writer/director Bart Freundlich brings us this look at a man trying to find out what is missing from his life.

Cal (Billy Crudup) is a man who seems to have everything a man would want, including a good job, a beautiful wife, a loving son, and a nice apartment. But he listens to some advice from a diner waitress and decides to take off. He hits the road and works odd jobs, meeting people from all aspects of life. Will he find what his life is missing? Only time will tell.

Reviews of this film have not been very enthusiastic. However, one of the bright points seems to be Julianne Moore's portrayal of Dulcie, a mother who is down on her luck and looking for her son. (Marty Doskins/BOP)
