107/159 David Mumpower Stubbornly childish movie wants to be Breakfast Club for tweeners. There aren't enough laughs but it does have a heart and a satisfying ending.

If you were to cross Home Alone with The Breakfast Club, I think you would end up with this film. We follow a group of five young travelers journeying to various parts of the country for their winter holiday. Specifically, it is December 24th (Christmas Eve) and they have been caught up in some snowy weather in Chicago and are stuck. They are all traveling alone without a parent in sight. What ever will they do to brighten up an otherwise dismal situation? Make their own holiday celebration right there in the airport. But not without getting into some mischief, of course. Wilmer Valderrama plays the frustrated airport security guard who is trying to put an end to these kids’ shenanigans.

The group consists of a variety of personalities to make this story interesting. We have the “tomboy”, the “geek”, the “rich girl”, one kid who’s awkward, and another who’s bashful. Even though they may be different on the outside, they find that what makes the holidays special are the things we have in common. This should be a nice holiday film. (Marty Doskins/BOP)
