Michael Douglas and Albert Brooks (in a role originally designed for Billy Crystal before Analyze That got the go-ahead - oops) play two soon-to-be fathers in law. Douglas plays a CIA agent and Brooks plays a podiatrist. Smell the foot fetish jokes. Anyway, the two end up on a wacky adventure that takes them to South America right before the wedding.

Lindsay Sloane (Bring It On) and Ryan Reynolds (Van Wilder) play the bride and groom. Also starring are Candice Bergen and Robin Tunney. Andrew Fleming (Dick) directs from a script from Nat Mauldin with a rewrite by Ed Solomon.

Will audiences go to yet another "wedding?" Brooks and Douglas seem like an odd couple for the new millennium, and both have certainly proven their comedy chops. The original film, if largely forgotten, was generally well-received. (Tim Briody/BOP)
