Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle reminded people that Demi Moore was the highest paid actress in Hollywood not that long ago. While the other actresses in the movie might not have liked all the publicity Moore got for the movie, she is using it effectively as a springboard to re-launch her career. And then there’s that whole May/December romance with Ashton Kutcher as well.

So, how is the actress going to leverage her current heat to further benefit her career? A Hitchcockian suspense film sprinkled with a twist of the paranormal is her recipe for success. Moore will portray the protagonist in Half Light. The film sounds like a darker take on Charlotte Rampling’s work in Swimming Pool. Moore’s character is Rachel Carlson, an Agatha Christie sort who has recently suffered a personal tragedy. Her five-year-old boy drowned in the back yard while she was inside the house writing.

As an attempt to put the horrific incident behind her, Carlson travels to a friend’s vacation resort. After she moves in, mystical events begin to occur which make her suspect that the nightmare has followed her. (David Mumpower/BOP)
