After starring in a claustrophobic thriller where her character must try to save her daughter, Jodie Foster will go for a reprise in a film that is said to be in the tradition of Hitchcock. In Panic Room, Foster and her daughter find themselves stuck in their home's "panic room" as supposed burglars ransack their home. The daughter becomes endangered when her diabetes becomes an issue.
Now, Foster moves on to Flight Plan, where she will play a bereaved woman who is flying with her daughter from Berlin to their home in America. Somehow, while they are at 30,000 feet, the child vanishes. No one will even admit that she was ever on the plane. From there, the film follows Foster's plight as she tries to find her.
Starring alongside Foster is the rapidly emerging Peter Sarsgaard, who received a great deal of positive attention in 2003's Shattered Glass and also has a key role in Zach Braff's Garden State. Sarsgaard plays a passenger who is sitting near Foster's character. He attempts to aid her in getting the situation under control. Also onboard are Sean Bean and Erika Christensen. (Kim Hollis/BOP)
