Stop me if you have heard this one before. Chaos is an action thriller about a rookie and a veteran cop in pursuit of an accomplished bank robber. Novel, eh?
While not exactly re-inventing the wheel with regards to the general story, Chaos looks to win over North American audiences with its talent. Mr. Elle Woods, Ryan Phillippe, will portray the rookie trying to learn on the job. Jason Statham, the marvelous English import who was so engaging in The Italian Job and Snatch, is the grizzled veteran. He tries to teach the kid how things work while he susses out the details of how the robber always seems to be one step ahead. Wesley Snipes briefly steps out of Blade roles long enough to play the thief who
seems to know more about the police department's internal dealings than many of the police do. (David Mumpower/BOP)
