Jennifer Love Hewitt has really had a run of bad luck in her film projects. She keeps trying to revitalize her career, but nothing seems to help. Will this one have the magic to finally get her back on track?
Hewitt plays Perry Forman, a young TV news anchor that was recently dumped at the altar by her wealthy fiancé. She falls in love with the best man, a studly fireman named Sam who’s everything her former fiancé is not. They have a lot in common, including their obsession with Audrey Hepburn. But is Sam the perfect guy or just too good to be true? Let’s hope Perry can figure that one out before it’s too late.
Speaking of revolving doors (we were, weren’t we?), this film has seen its share of changes in cast and director. Way back in 1997, Tea Leoni was originally scheduled to star in this film. Through the years, actresses such as Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ashley Judd, and Renee Zellweger have been attached to star in the role of Perry. On the directorial side, the original director was veteran TV director Michael Lembeck, then Greg Berlanti, and finally writer Ryan Murphy took hold of the reins to direct his own work.
