This comedy about love, romance and expectation will receive limited release in theaters. It centers on a chef named Alex, who is feeling a bit put out over the efforts she's putting forth for the seemingly traditional wedding shower of a friend, April. Although she's a little aggravated at the time she's having to expend, at the same time, she desperately wants this shower to be absolutely perfect. It seems, however, that Alex is hiding her true feelings behind this frenzied activity.
As things progress, more and more people seem to become invited and involved in the shower. The cute pizza guy, a mad Scotsman and a group of firemen all are invited to the party, which puts things to the point that the men almost outnumber the women. In the end, Alex reveals her secret, which causes the entire group of people at the shower to re-examine their own lives. (Kim Hollis/BOP)
