After building a reputation for themselves in Asia after directing the Thai film The Eye, collaborating director siblings Danny and Oxide Pang will now make their way stateside. Their first North American film will team them with Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert of Ghost House Pictures, who will produce the project.
The creepy movie will center on a city family that has just moved to the prairies of North Dakota in order to farm sunflowers. The setting is serene and idyllic, but what lies just beneath the surface is an incredible evil. Soon, the Solomon family finds themselves torn apart from one another amidst suspicious circumstances that include all sorts of mayhem, and even murder.
The cast for the film includes Kristen Stewart, who played Jodie Foster's daughter in Panic Room, Dylan McDermott, Penelope Ann Miller and John Corbett. (Kim Hollis/BOP)
