Telling the tale of two historians who fall for each other when they find that their subjects were historical lovers, Possession seems destined for a small release that will likely rely on word-of-mouth in order to increase its box office. Starring Gwyneth Paltrow and directed by indie director Neil Labute, the movie's release date has been pushed around many times, and, as of this writing, is tentatively scheduled for a spring 2002 release.

Considering the highbrow subject matter and the numerous times it has been rescheduled, Possession seems destined to It will most likely enjoy a small but moderately-successful release, and fade away before this sentence ends.   (Walid Habboub/BOP)
