This Drew Barrymore starrer is a serious teen drama that is based on a true story. Barrymore plays a young teenage mom who makes it through life while battling many adversities along the way. This is Barrymore's fist release since the exponentially less serious Charlie's Angels and her first dramatic role since 1998's Cinderella retelling, Ever After.

This movie would seem to be destined to a gradual release from limited to wide, as its content might be a little too serious for teens and its release date better lends itself to limited releases. Of course, the quality might not be there and the limited point becomes moot, but it is still difficult to see how this movie can find an audience. Traditionally, teen-targeted movies will usually only sell when they are of a lighter tone and the more serious works are left to drown at the box office. Don't expect too much from this movie at the box office. (Walid Habboub/BOP)
