Sad, sad, sad. Who wants to watch that? |
Wong Kar Wai is one of the most famous international directors working today, with acclaim coming for such Hong Kong releases as In the Mood for Love, Happy Together and 2046. My Blueberry Nights will be his first English language release.
Grammy Award winner Norah Jones makes her actign debut in the film, and she is surrounded by Academy Award nominees and winners. Jude Law, David Strathairn, Jude Law, Natalie Portman and Rachel Weisz are all onboard in a story about a young woman who sets off on a journey across Route 66 in hopes of finding true love. The story moves from New York City to the wonderful diners that are settled along the famous Route 66, which should make this as atmospheric a film as the director's past work. (Kim Hollis/BOP)
