Many years ago, our planet passed through a weird cloud full of space dust. The end result of this phenomenon is that the dead began to rise, and as is always the case with such zombies, they have a hankering for human flesh. The world split into two divergent sides, with a war erupting between the living and the dead.

That war was eventually decided as a corporation, ZomCon took over. They turned the zombies into servants who provide valuable assistance to human beings. One might be your mailman. Another, your gardener.

Nonetheless, young Timmy Robinson is fully aware that this is an uneasy kind of peace. When his parents decide that they have to keep up with the Joneses and bring in a zombie of their very own to help with housework and other such things, Timmy finds a fast friend. Never mind that this friend occasionally eats people. He loves his Fido. He just has to teach the world that there's more to these undead creatures than meets the eye.

Fido has already achieved some level of success on the festival circuit and in Canada. The premise is fun, and considering that people always seem to love zombies, it has a shot at being a decent little sleeper hit. (Kim Hollis/BOP)
