For those of you who watched the 2003 season finale of West Wing, the concept of Mandy Moore's next film is going to sound familiar. Similarly, if you have heard about the Katie Holmes film where she plays the president's daughter, this is going to sound like deja vu. In fact, you could even argue that this film is a bit too much like the 2003 releases What a Girl Wants and The Lizzie Maguire movie. For legal purposes, though, we are going to give Warner Bros the benefit of the doubt by describing the whole concept as one giant homage.

Like Katie Holmes, Mandy Moore has taken on the part of the daughter of the U. S. President, this time played by Summer School heartthrob Mark Harmon. In this version of the competing Hollywood projects about scions of POTUS, Moore's character wants to get away from the Secret Service. Rather than be a good girl and ask permission, she runs away for a vacation in Europe with her pretty boy boyfriend.

This breach of national security causes the Secret Service agents assigned to her watch to hike a plane across the Atlantic Ocean in pursuit. While she is free of them, she enjoys a wonderful romantic getaway not unlike the ones Hilary Duff and Amanda Bynes had in their respective European vacations. No point in re-inventing the wheel, I guess. (David Mumpower/BOP)

And the studio has reportedly finally settled on the title "Chasing Liberty." Because see, Mandy's Secret Service code name is "Liberty" and Secret Service agents are *chasing* her. But then Mandy is also "chasing liberty" because she's trying to escape from her overprotective father who just doesn't understand that girls just wanna have fun. It's all hiiiiii-lariously clever. (Jennifer Turnock/BOP)
