Originally premiering at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival, Trembling Before G-d is a documentary spotlighting Orthodox and Hasidic Jews who have decided to live openly with their sexuality and have had to make sacrifices, whether relating to their faith or sexual orientation.

Much like most documentaries, this film will see very little screen time and will likely never expand beyond a few select cities. Considering its subject matter and the fact that it is a documentary, the film is even more challenged to do any significant business at the box office. With its multiple awards and critical acclaim, however, we might see this film come Oscar time. (Walid Habboub/BOP)
