Food of Love is the big-screen adaptation of the novel The Page Turner. It tells the tale of a young music student, Paul, who serves as page turner and general assistant for classical pianist Richard. Paul's mother, Pamela, has big plans for her son's future, but Paul has other ideas. As Richard and Paul become more than employer and employee, Pamela becomes involved with Richard after he rescues her from a mugger. Soon the three are involved in a triangle of sorts, as each tries to sort out his or her feelings about the other two and how it all fits into the lives each planned.

Food of Love had its world premiere in Spain in February of this year. It was also shown at the Japan International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival before making its way to the US for a New York-only limited release on October 25, 2002. Depending on its reception, the film may be expanded to other cities. If you enjoy films about complicated relationships, you should check out Food of Love should it come to your local art house.
