Fireproof
Release Date:
September 26, 2008
The last time Kirk Cameron appeared in theaters it was in 2000's Left Behind, and now he returns in Fireproof, another film aimed at Christian audiences.
Cameron stars as firefighter Caleb Holt, whose marriage is crumbling. Preparing to file for divorce, he agrees to take "The Love Dare," a 40 day program designed to strengthen marriages. The book and the program Fireproof My Marriage play major roles in the theme of the film.
Secular audiences are likely going to stay far far away, but with proper marketing and exposure to the target audience, Fireproof is certainly something that could find a niche audience. (Tim Briody/BOP)
