With the movie business suffering in recent months, IMAX films with the 3D gimmick have provided a boost where other genres are failing. The movie is being directed by Howard Hall and will take place among the denizens of the exotic world of the deep blue sea.

Some of the creatures that will be featured in the film will include the Rainbow Nudibranch, the Giant Pacific octopus, the Mantis Shrimp and the Green Sea Turtle. The movie will explore the notion that each animal who dwells in this environment is dependent on the other undersea residents for survival. As a result, there is a cooperation that takes place amongst the creatures that allows them to flourish.

Adding to the film's outstanding pedigree, Academy Award nominees Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet will narrate. Danny Elfman provides the score. Given the success of James Cameron's documentaries, Deep Sea 3D has every opportunity to strike a chord amongst audiences who enjoy the enchantments of the ocean world. (Kim Hollis/BOP)
