It is 1986 in South Korea, and the country is ruled by military dictatorship. When two female bodies are discovered in the Gyunggi Province, cops connect them due to the fact that both women were raped and murdered under seemingly similar circumstances. As a result, Korean police were looking at investigating their first serial killer in the country's history.
Detective Park Doo-Man is the leading cop on the case, and although he and his partner are aggressive in their methods, they make little progress. That all changes when Seo Tae-Yoon, a member of Seoul's metropolitan police department, volunteers to aid in the investigation. He's extraordinarily meticulous, which means that his chances of coming up with evidence and clues about the murder should have positive results. Needless to say, Park and Seo's opposing methods cause substantial conflict, and the case becomes difficult. Believing that the killer might strike again, the duo realizes that their differences must be reconciled. This Korean film is based on a true story. (Kim Hollis/BOP)
